What was the best moment of your life?
What were you like before? Who are you today?
What would you like for your future?

After a short solo performance about the small and big moments of his life, Peter Schulz invites his guests on a playful journey through their own lives. Equipped with headphones, the participating audience members embark on a search for traces of their past in an audiovisually meditative atmosphere. In a workshop-like game of life, they get to know each other while rummaging through memories and together create ideas and wishes for their future.

A performance (performance with game round) lasts about 2.5 hours.

In a Human Specific Performance the people watching take centre stage.
Viewers become participants. It's about their stories, their lives and their emotions.

Peter Schulz learnt the principle of Human Specific Performance through coaching from the director Nullo Facchini / Tantou from Copenhagen, who created this form of performance over twenty years ago and has been working with it ever since.

Comment/note on the interactions at ‘It's Your Life’:

Participation in the playful main part of the performance is an invitation to have a shared experience.
No one is encouraged to perform in front of others or to present themselves or anything else!
Instead, in the main part of the performance, the ‘game round’, the participants tell each other about moments from their lives and listen to others - similar to private conversations between acquaintances. Thoughts about the past, present and future are exchanged in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
Everyone contributes only what he or she wants and what he or she feels like doing!

🙂

Nevertheless, ‘It's Your Life’ is not a self-awareness workshop, but still a performance!
😉
